In recent years, veneers have become one of the most commonly used methods for improving the shape and appearance of teeth. Veneers are very thin porcelain shells bonded to the front surface of the teeth. They allow for significant change not only in tooth colour, but also their shape, length, and size. They are also an excellent solution for closing diastema – the gap between the upper front teeth.

If a crown of a tooth is severely damaged but the root remains intact, the tooth can be restored by replacing the natural crown with an artificial one. Dental crowns are prosthetic restorations that reconstruct a single natural tooth crown.

In cases where one or more teeth are missing, a prosthetic bridge may be used. A bridge connects several crowns attached to adjacent teeth or implants on both sides, with the replacement teeth positioned between them. A prosthetic bridge occupies the same space as natural teeth and transfers chewing forces in a physiological way, allowing the patient to function comfortably. We can restore the functionality of the bite and the aesthetics of the smile.

Teeth whitening is a non-invasive method of lightening the teeth by several shades. Coffee, tea, red wine, cigarettes, and even fruit juices can gradually cause unwanted changes in tooth colour. In dental practice, the most commonly used and safest whitening agents are peroxides – carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide – found in gel preparations. When in contact with the oral environment, these substances release active ingredients that penetrate the enamel and eliminate or reduce discolorations.

How do we perform the whitening procedure?

We use special tray-based system – an effective, painless, easy, and safe method for whitening teeth at home. It is designed for those who prefer to whiten their teeth while sleeping. Based on an impression taken at the clinic, we create custom trays in our prosthetic laboratory. The patient takes these trays home together with the whitening gel. The trays filled with gel should be worn overnight. The effects are usually visible after the first application, while stable results are typically achieved after 7–14 days of continued use.

During the whitening process, patients must follow a diet that avoids staining foods and drinks such as curry, tomato sauce, beetroot, red wine, coffee, and tea.

To improve the aesthetics of discoloured and non-vital teeth (following root canal treatment and a control X-ray), a whitening agent is placed inside the tooth chamber for several days. The procedure may be repeated several times until the desired effect is achieved. The success of internal whitening depends on the cause of discoloration and varies from case to case.

Caries infiltration is an innovative method for treating discolorations. This procedure helps eliminate early carious spots, which indicate the initial development of bacterial tooth decay. The discoloration is removed using a liquid resin that penetrates deeper layers of the enamel. Caries infiltration can only be performed in the early stages of the disease, which is why regular check-up visits are essential to monitor the condition of your teeth and gums.

Professional prevention is the key to healthy teeth and a beautiful smile. Regular visits to the dental practice allow for thorough cleaning of teeth, removing plaque, tartar, and bacteria that can lead to tooth decay and gum disease. Modern methods such as fluoridation, fissure sealing, and scaling help maintain oral health and prevent many dental problems. With proper preventive care, you can enjoy a beautiful, healthy smile for many years to come!
