Remember, regular dental visits are the foundation of a healthy smile for life! Visit Dr. Gajda Clinic – together, we will take care of your child’s health and beautiful smile.

Milk teeth, just like permanent teeth, can be affected by cavities, which can lead to painful pulp inflammations or even premature tooth loss. Additionally, the health of milk teeth affects the proper development of permanent teeth, as their buds are located near the roots of the milk teeth. That is why regular dental visits are so important.

At our clinic, we make sure that the treatment of young patients is stress-free and comfortable. We treat cavities in milk teeth in the same way as in permanent teeth – we remove the diseased tissue and fill the cavities, while more advanced procedures, such as root canal treatment, are adapted to the child’s age and the condition of their teeth. All treatments can be performed with anesthesia and inhalation sedation, and special anesthetic gels ensure that the treatment is completely painless.

Fluoridation

Fluoridation is a simple and effective method to strengthen enamel and protect against cavities. It involves covering the teeth with a preparation containing a high concentration of fluoride, which strengthens the enamel, reduces plaque buildup, and relieves tooth sensitivity.

Benefits of Fluoridation:

    • Strengthens enamel, making it more resistant to cavities.

    • Prevents plaque buildup and the formation of secondary cavities around fillings.

    • Reduces tooth neck sensitivity.

The procedure is painless and safe, and depending on individual needs, it can be performed two to four times a year.

Fissure Sealing

Fissure sealing is a method to prevent cavities by filling deep grooves and pits in the teeth with a special fissure sealant. This prevents food particles and bacteria from accumulating in hard-to-reach areas, significantly reducing the risk of cavities.

Benefits of Fissure Sealing:

    • Effectively prevents cavities, reducing the risk by up to 90%.

    • A simple, painless procedure, especially recommended for children.

    • Protection for permanent molars and premolars, as well as milk molars.

Fissure sealing should be performed within two years of the tooth eruption to ensure maximum protection.

Inhalation sedation is a modern, effective, and safe solution that eliminates the anxiety and fear associated with visiting the dentist. It is especially helpful for younger patients who may be scared of dental treatments.

What is Inhalation Sedation?

During the procedure, the patient breathes in a mixture of gases that induces a feeling of relaxation and calmness. The child remains conscious, responds to the dentist’s commands, but does not feel tension or fear. This is the perfect solution for children who have difficulty accepting dental treatment in a traditional way.

Why Choose Inhalation Sedation?

    • Safety: This method is completely safe, and the gases used are non-toxic and quickly eliminated from the body.
    • Comfort: The child stays calm and relaxed, allowing the procedure to be carried out efficiently.
    • Awareness: The patient remains awake and responsive to commands, but anxiety and stress are eliminated.
    • Versatility: Sedation can be used for children as young as 4 years old, making it an excellent option for most young patients.

When Do We Use Inhalation Sedation?

Inhalation sedation is ideal for children who:

    • Are afraid of pain or needles,
    • Have difficulty overcoming their fear of the dentist,
    • Need longer or more complex treatments.

Are There Any Contraindications?

The only significant contraindication to inhalation sedation is nasal obstruction, which prevents free breathing during the procedure.

Why Choose Inhalation Sedation at Our Clinic?

At Dr. Gajda® Clinic, we prioritize modern and child-friendly treatment methods that minimize stress for our youngest patients. Inhalation sedation allows for treatments to be performed in an atmosphere of calm and safety, helping to create positive dental experiences.
We invite you to our clinic – we will take care of your child’s health and smile in a comfortable and stress-free way!

  • Talk to Your Child Simply and Positively
Explain what the visit will be like in a straightforward way. Use simple words and avoid terms that may cause anxiety, such as “pain” or “needle.” Focus on the positives – mention that the dentist will “check if the teeth are healthy and clean.”
  • Use Educational Books
Books about dentistry are a great way to familiarize your child with the dental visit. They portray the visit as an exciting adventure and help the child understand what will happen.
  • Plan an Adaptive Visit
We offer adaptive visits at our clinic, which allow children to get familiar with the office and the dentist in a calm atmosphere. Such visits give little ones the chance to explore the environment and dental equipment without stress.
  • Set a Good Example
Children often mimic their parents, so it’s a good idea to speak positively about your own dental visits. Show your child that caring for teeth is a natural and important part of life.
  • Do Not Promise Rewards for the Visit
Avoid rewarding your child for going to the dentist – this may suggest that the visit is unpleasant. Instead, focus on praising their bravery and cooperation.
